True Love and Sin (N-18)

This tour of Kaunas with “Our Odyssey” is about love. Perceptions of love varied from time to time, but for centuries it was the main engine of life, “the feeling that makes the earth spin”. During the tour we will learn what Žygimantas Augustas donated to his beloved wife Barbora Radvilaitė, where in Kaunas you can taste love elixir created according to an ancient Lithuanian recipe, how to seduce and keep a boy or a girl … how Vytautas church can be linked to love. We will hear a legend about the love of Vaidilutė Aleksota and Dangirutis, which is closely connected with the name of Kaunas city. We will also visit the former lands of the landowner Godlevski (Botanical Garden), where he organized parties for his friends, featuring the most beautiful women without any dresses, and today we will see plants of love here. During the tour, you will also hear many facts and interesting things about Tsarist Kaunas, where as many as 27 brothels operated on Nemunas Street and elsewhere.
